this is for ED,
why is it that I've tried to get in on the
multi player network, but get discinnected eveytime I dial the LD
number this has happened to me me ten times. I get "missing welcome
ptx file not found the get disconnected, or missing motd.ptx not
found. A few times I got disconnected just trying to find my way
around the main menu. But I'll bet you I get a LD bill for those ten
20 seconds connections. I want to try it again but after ten trys and
no luck whats the point?

Derrick,

It sounds like maybe you hit <esc> one too many times when something was trying to download. Go
into your NASCAR directory & delete all .ptx files & try again.
