Anyone have any idea with the server that Papyrus is making? Are they going
to change the Executable files?

So what are all of us outside the US supposed to do then ? Phone the US ?
Rely on *** ( in other words phone the UK ) ? Or are you going to put
these network servers in all countries round the world ?
It's like the manual fiasco all over again. Not strictly Papyrus's fault
I suppose, but at the end of the day the *** version doesn't start up
and say "From *** this is Nascar Racing." It's your name on this after
all. And for all it's a wonderful game, I won't buy more Papyrus products
if I don't get the support and other options available to others.
cheers

Rugby isn't a way of life. It's more important than that.
I speak for me, and me alone. Canter & Siegel please take note.
You will not however be able to run your own (more than 2 player) multiplayer
races without the Papyrus network, as you will not have the server code.

PS: The service's "open beta" is slated to start June 1, '95. Look
for announcements here and other Papyrus/auto racing sim forums...
BTW, what was the word from *** on their ***manuals? Did they
ever do the proper ones? (I rather suspect this is an old question, but
I've just found this group a few days ago and I've been lurking ever
since!!!)

We are looking into establishing servers in other parts of the world. No
timeframe or locations have been announced.

I emailed *** about the manual some time ago. They told me they are
rewriting the manual at the moment and will contact me, when it's finished.
Then I should send the old manual to them as a prove of purchase and will
get a copy of the new one. I'm still waiting...

Great, I will definitely do that as well then. Hopefully they'll make good on
their promise.
Cheers,
Stuart.
