They aren't even new. The 6 tracks were part of Nascar Racing : 1999
Edition except for Portland Speedway, which I speculate is an enhancement
from the Icr2 version. For the 2 next track, we already have them since
it's night versions of already-existing N3 tracks. Wow. They didn't even
cared to add other tracks. We were expecting at least 10 tracks minimum.
North Wilkesboro. Pocono. Hickory. Flemington.
Anything over 19$ is paying too high for this. I'll suggest to people to
buy other racing games instead for that price, which they will find a higher
satisfaction rate for the price they pay. Like DTR, or Grand Prix Legends.
Let's hope they do not start to encrypt their data in future sims. It will
be the start of the end, I'll say. Third party utility users have been one
of the principal reason for Papyrus's success. Open-architecture is the
future, not closed-mind attitudes like Ubisoft per example.
But with Sierra, anything is possible. Look at what they did with the
EULA.txt and how pathetic the online community using N3 is presently.
Never be shy to tell your true feelings!

I'm PRAYING World Sports Car will be as wonderfully detailed and realistic
as it looks to be, while still leaving some ground for the ***
enthusiast to tread upon.
If all else fails, we'll force Dave Noonan to keep creating tracks for GPL
until there are no tracks left to build! ::)

Instead of being grateful that Papy even made the track and
effectively let it get distributed (you can not tell me that Papy
did not know it would happen when they put out the demo at
Daytona) people instead are mad at Papy for not allowing it
to be run openly on Won.net.
Your comments are a perfect example, you see the whole Daytona
thing as Papy shitting on the fans, while I see it as the fact that
we now have the ability to play Daytona which we did not have
before. This is not even considering the fact that NONE of us
paid for it. (even if you bought the program that had the demo,
you paid for the demo, not the ability to race Daytona on the
full N3 game)
We have two different opinions, and that is all they are.. opinions.
Lets leave it at that

But did you know that this goes for *ANY* track as well? Not throwing any
stones, just passing on some additional information, hehe.
Anyways, I've tried Heartland Park, Laguna Seca, Pocono and others, that
came from ICR2, N2 or N99. None of those tracks will appear in the race list
if you run them. Apparently there's some kind of "kill filter" being used by
either Won or Papy, so that if you use *ANY* track that did not come with
N3, then nobody will be able to see it, or know it's there, unless you
spread it by word of mouth, such as by setting up the IP game method, hehe.
Basically, I think that sucks, but then I guess Papy/Won have their reasons.
I just thought it was be mighty nice to run the old tracks from the old
sims, with N3. But then, I guess they think that would kill their sales of
the Truck patch, if they would allow people to bring over Flemington,
Heartland Park, I-70, etc, over to N3 and use online. Sounding like it boils
down to the mighty dollar ruling the world.
I'm not against them selling their products and making money, but hey, what
we already bought, we should still be able to use, even if it happens to
work with a newer version of a game.
As it stands, we have to wait for the Truck add-on, the Goody's Dash add-on,
the ARCA add-on, the TPTCC (if the Pits sells them the rights, hehe;)
add-on, the weekend warrior local short track saturday night add-on, and on
and on.
There's so many add-ons that Papy is having to make to keep us all happy,
that it will be N8 by the time they get it all done probably, hehe. That's
not saying that they will ever make any of those add-ons, but hey, we can
dream. But if they don't, they should at least give us a little creative
freedom to create our own add-ons. I guess if quake2 players are allowed to
do it, with the blessings of ID Software Inc even, then maybe Papy will let
us do it. ;o)
Destin
P.S. If Papy really wanted to make some big $$$, all they gotta do is put
out a "Tracks Add-On" for N3, and even N2/N99 users, that features dozens,
hopefully 100 or more, of various real life tracks from around the country,
and even the world. Tracks like Lanier here in Georgia, used by Hooters and
Dash, Laguna Seca for N2/N99/N3, maybe even a couple F1 tracks for the road
course lovers like me, lol. But anyways, if they just released a tracks
add-on, that all the cdrom had was only tracks, I'd be happy to spend as
much as $25 or so for an add-on like that, rather than having to surf the
web and try to figure out which of the 5 different home-brewed (track name
here) looked the best and was most realistic looking, and realistic driving.
If you read that Papy, take my idea and run with it!! Run hard and fast, get
it done, i'll buy it!! :o)

You can't just pick tracks and create an add-on track. It's a business,
remember. Carefully creating the tracks takes a very long time of
production. And since Papyrus has probably a limited amouth of artist that
can work on this (and work at the same time for other products), you can't
do that.
Especially since you need to license those tracks, which cost money and
takes alot of time. The rest of your message had some sense, still ;)
