Can anyone recommend a good moderately priced video card for use with Nascar
2.  I am using a Intel 233 MMX on a tyan at-2 board.  I am currently using a
viper 330.  I want something to run Nascar 2 only!!

For Nascar2 only, I believe the best bet is a Rendition-based card.  The
Hercules Thriller is about the only 8MB version I know of.  I think that is
generally what is recommended here.  Probably a bit cheaper, and more
available, especially used, is the Diamond Stealth 220.  Oh, I just saw an
offer for a used Thriller from someone in Canada in this ng today.

But I still would be loathe to recommend a card with such limited future use.  
See what the guys in this ng have to say about the 3dfx patch for N2.  I don't
think it is supposed to be on par with the Renditions (the game was originally
coded for only the Rendition)

thriller 8 meg, papy wrote the game optimized for the rendition chip.
