TOCA problem with Directx6?

Can anyone help?

I've owned TOCA for some time with no problems, but since upgrading to
directx6 I can't get it to work properly. When I go to the circuit select
screen, it shows all tracks darkened and after a short time it shuts itself
down, I sometimes get a message saying low video memory, I've set it up to
use my 3d 2000 and Orchid Righ 3dfx graphics cards but it does exactly the
same with both. I tried re-installing TOCA a few times with no success. I'm
a little short on disk space can this cause problems?

I don't think your disk space is the culprit (though I could be wrong).
I have the same problem with TOCA after the DirectX6 update also. Though
I have plenty of disk space on my system. I have the patch installed
too. Hmm... did I run the patch after the re-install? I'm also having a

was working fine before. Anyone out there have any clues for us?

Later...

I assume that you guys used the DX6core installation, as I used the
DX6Eng full installation and all seems OK except the selected track
is dark.

Hi Yall,
Since upgrading to DX 6 TOCA takes a long time to load. I thought it locked
up but waited a min. or 2 and i started. When going to each track it also
does this. I also get the dark track layout when selecting the track at the
track selection screen but not in the screen as the track loads. I run  a
P200,64Mb ram, STB riva 128, and Monster 3d in Win 98.

I seem to have this same problem! Thought it was just my system.

I have a problem with NICE 2 when running DirectX 6.0.
You should download the DirectX Uninstaller and then re-install DirectX 5.x...

Good luck!

Paul - check in Dxdiag.exe on Display Driver 2 tab that your 3D hardware has
not been disabled for D3D acceleration.
