Please help....directx6 has killed my machine :o(

I've just installed EA Superbikes (a great game btw....) and decided to bite
the bullet and install directx6......unfortunately this has had some rather
*** side effects....

GPL - the game runs fine but big corruption following the mouse on the menu
screens and often hangs completely....

CMR - won't start at all, goes to black screen and then back to desktop (I
am using the codies patch).

I've downloaded the latest drivers (ATi Rage Pro and Diamond Monster 3dII)
but no joy......

I'm using Win95, any ideas please?

Many thanks,
Pete

I had the same mouse and lock problem with gpl, the solution was to
change the glide version from 2.54 to 2.53. put the glide 2.53 file in
the gpl directory. Dont know if this will work for you but it did for me
