ICR2 demo: frames per second?

by Vesa Slot » Sat, 18 Nov 1995 04:00:00

: : Another thing: I have a 8bit SB clone soundcard, and with SVGA it
: : produced lots of irritating noise, something like a radio tuned a bit
: : off station. Has anyone else noticed that? What could be the cause?

: I have the same problem with games that use digital sound and SVGA
: graphics (CL5428 and SB-clone).

: The solution is to load VESA driver for the card.  UNIVBE should do the
: trick fine, and 99% of the static should disappear.

That did the trick.

: Pasi.

ICR2 demo: frames per second?

I have a P133 with a Matrox Millenium, and it runs like
*buttah* in hi-res with all the detail on.  It seems to even look and
run better than Nascar, which doesn't *quite* run as fast as I'd like
with those options (when a lot of other cars are on the screen).

Yeah, I had (have) that problem with Nascar and my SB16, but
not with Indy2, thank god.  The engine sounds are a little
high-pitched for my tastes (as I guess they should be), but I just
turned them down a bit.

The check's in the mail. :)
