Nascar Pro wheel update

Nascar Pro wheel update

Last week I posted a message about my right-hand steering wheel button quit
working. Yesterday, my left-hand button gave out. I opened up the wheel
compartment and found that the wires from the wheel to a small circuit board
were not connected anymore to the board. I found that when the steering
wheel is turned all the way to the right is pulled on the wires. Eventually
(1 month) it pulled them off the board. I soldered them back on to the
circuit board and then tie-wrapped them in place so they won't get pulled
off anymore. It might be nice if Thrustmaster incorporated my "fix" into
their future products. I can't believe they didn't test their new wheel
design before marketing it.

Nascar Pro wheel update

I had the similar problem, except my wires broke from rubbing to the edge
of the shaft where the wire comes out.  I had to replace the whole wiring
and resoldier the buttons too (and they are cheap).  Overall very cheap
design and construction.  I have a post somewhere here about my mods to the
pedal spring if you care.
