yup, they could but a burn and return likely permits u to patch the
sim....

the warez rip likely not...
I'm not condoning warez or rippin off the people who program these past
times that give us soo much pleasure.  I have dabbled in warez myself,
and if i find it worthwhile (ie stays on my HDD for more than a week) I
buy it.
If we were all to just download warez versions it wouldn't be long before
there would be no warez to download, oh and hey nothing to give us hours
of enjoyment cuz the software houses have gone bankrupt.

Sorry, Frank, but my name isn't Dave...it's Bruce.

"Back in the old days"?  What do YOU refer to as "old days"?  Patches have
been around ever since the first computer program/game was written.

I was referring to how GP2 never had a patch ISSUED...I didn't say that it
didn't NEED one!

Now Now Bruce dog sorry about the name thing... dunno why I thought i was
replyin to Dave H lol
But tis true, back in the old days patches did exist, but not near as common as
today, where budgets don't permit the proper beta testing for these complex
programs.
Hell in the old days a sim would fit on a coupla floppies, not a whole lot of
stuff to debug, compared to now when its 500mb on a cd, and has to support a
gagillion diferent system configurations...

It wouldn't be so bad if you stopped burning them when you dump the things
Bruce. It tends to upset the insurance companies <G>

I think that it's actually "kewel", Jo.
That's how my son (17) types it, anyway!

When I was his age it was "kool", because that's how the name of the
cigarette brand was spelled.
