I've just installed a Diamond Monster 11 card in my amd k6-2 300 on top
of a screamin'3d card (V1000). The monster gives you the option of
direct3d or Glide or both. Which is the best option for running GPL?
Also, anyone who's running a diamond monster 2, can you suggest a good
gamma setting. I've been used to the beautiful colours of my rendition
card but with this voodoo 2 card the colours are a bit misty and there
is not as much texture. (In the grass, for example)
So far the fps has not increased by much, if at all, but I've got to do
some more testing to compare the rendition against the Voodoo 2.

The Monster will operate under direct3d but it is not an either or - you
really have both - which the game will use is selected in each games setup.
In GPL you can select from Rendition or Glide. I found Gamma settings of 1.0
for all three to give a much less washed out image.
Keep in mind that the Monster 2 is very dependent on CPU power. On my
Pentium 200 the Monster 2 8mg runs slower in GPL than a Rendition v2100. But
on a P2-300 the Monster is the faster card.
