Michael Cotchin's been very busy at forging whats become a much requested
track - especially for people who've had the pleasure of visiting Castle
Combe in Wiltshire, UK.

We've now got a preview webpage with some screen shots, some track history,
track guide, and a couple of small WMV videos that show an in car lap, and
some racing action.

Take a look and comments very welcome.

Sorry the videos are not bigger / better quality - but my ISP would through
a fit if they suddenly had a couple of Gig go down their pipes!!!

link to the Movies directly - but link to the page containing the movie link
so we can track downloads - THANKS!!!)

Very, very nice, guys.  At first, I thought, "Oh no, not another British
club circuit around a flat WW II aiport perimeter road...."  Shows you how
little this Yank knows.  It looks fast & challenging.  Ideal for online
racing, I'd think.  Loved the video presentations, too.  Very professional.
Good luck!

just to compliment the guys on what will clearly be a very valuable
addition to GPL 3rd party tracks.

Looking back through the history books, the closest I can find to the
fastest lap time for the GPL era set at the Combe was in May 1970,
when Peter Gethin and Howden Ganley  set a record of 56.6 secs in
McLaren M10Bs. This was admittedly a few years later though and in
F5000 (or Formula A) machines rather than F1s.

Is that one of the tracks that was in Viper Racing?

Don't think so - I think all Viper tracks were fantasy tracks?
