-> Can someone out there give me a fairly detailed description of
-> cross-weight and how it effects the handling of the car?  I
-> understand everything else, but don't have a full grasp of this one
-> thing yet...

If you raise the cross-weight setting, you are tightening the car up.
The difference between this setting and adjusting your weight-jacks or
your shocks is that cross-weight is adjustable during the race.  You
cannot adjust your shocks or rear weight/left weight during a race.

Before I upgraded my system by 4 megs I was able to get music by selecting
16bit sb and having the fm synthesizer screen set to off.  I had the option
of getting music and only 2 cars detailed or having sound off and having 8
cars detailed.  Now with my new memory I get all my cars detailed and much,
much faster frame rate but I thought I would be able to have complete
sound.  Now I have nothing.  I have tried to set my details to off and just
have sound but it didn't work.  Is there a different setting for the IRQ and
DMA than what the game defaults to?  Anyone else have these problems.  So
much for upgrading my memory, still no fun without the racing sounds.  Well
ok yes it is fun but it could be better.

cross helps to control the leaning effect a car has in corners
helps to keep it level!
