STEERING WHEEL CONTROLLERS NEEDED

by duncan r mclea » Sat, 24 Jun 1995 04:00:00

I am suprised about the lack of steering wheel controllers currently
available.  I dont care for the Thrustmaster combo...build quality,
feel...The Pro Wheel recieved some favorable reviews, but I havent been
able to contact  these  folks so I guess they are out fo business.
Does anyone have a Pro Wheel??  Simulations Systems in Cailfornia also
seems to have disappeared.  I read about a company called Interactive
Digital Devices recently, but have no other info on them.  Does anyone
happen to have their address, telephone, fax# or other info??
cheers...

I can't help in your search for a Pro Wheel, but I do have a Simulation
Systems ACP for sale.  As for their 'disappearing', I guess IMHO they
never really 'appeared' :-).  Not the largest firm in the world, but the
ACP is a decent unit.  I currently have $300 combined in checking and
savings, though, and some of these luxuries must go.  Let me know if you're
interested.

Thanks,
-Brad

STEERING WHEEL CONTROLLERS NEEDED

Yes, I have a Prowheel & pedal set & I like it a lot. The only problem is
I broke the spring i/s the wheel & had to replace it with one from
Hechingers because the one Wizard racing sent with the wheel was too
stiff. This is difficult & it is supposed to have a 1 year warranty, but
spring lasted 3 weeks. I called Bob Boulanger,owner 4 times without a
reply. The wheel way outperforms the T1 but customer support is
nonexistent. So make your decision. If you are one of those AOL user
bashers, please disregard this post.

If you have access to C-Serve drop a line to Trevor Thomas  74211, 2073. He makes
a steering wheel controller called the TSW (Thomas Super Wheel). It is very well made, and
comes with a lifetime guarantee (it is pricey , about $225) and is the best controller by far that
I have ever used.
