Well I'm having great fun with this game, although it seems a lot trickier
to drive than GP2.
My question is why are the menus so slow, even though I've done a full
install. has anybody found a way round this or written a utility so you can
do a full full install and therefore not use the CD ?

I think it's because the menu files are on the CD, and aren't copied
when doing an install...Just a trick for multiple laguages...the game
has to load a pcx each time you make a selection. =(

If you have a compress disk, this will also slow the game

Sorry, but a full install does install the menus (& video) to the HD.

Except for havintg to learn the set ups again...oh, and not being able
to change the name of the drivers. :(

Installs some of the menu files, but not all...have a look at your
CD-ROM for related pcx files. It's these files that don't get
loaded (except to memory AFAIK).
