I'm getting ready to buy a Viper 550 to replace my aging Intergraph Intense
3d 100. I also have a Diamond Monster II (8mb). My question is, will the
Viper improve my fps in GPL? Since the game is looking for the Voodoo2, will
the Viper make any difference?

Only if you install the openGL beta thingy from Papy. Basically you'll have
the choice of OpenGL or 3DFX & I guess you go with whichever gives the best
performance. AFAIK they won't "work together" to increase performance - its
one or the other. They should coexist quite happily in the machine.
