MSFF software config problem

by Soren Sarstru » Sat, 13 May 2000 04:00:00

Hello all,

My trusty MSFF, from which the *** is*** in threads from too much
GPL, is annoying me to no end. Im getting into N3/NL online, and I want to
make a new profile, but for some reason the Sidewinder software locks my
machine solid every time I try to edit a profile. I can switch profiles on
and off, but I cant edit them. BIG pain in the nether region, if you know
what I mean.

Ive got the 3.02 Sidewinder software, Im running Win98 and using gameport.
Other system specs include:

Millennium G200
Noname V2
SB live value

Oh, and while Im at it, does anybody use an ACT LABS wheel for GPL? Ive
heard that the pedals are a bit ***for GPL, but I want that shifter, even
if it doesnt work in a proper H-pattern ;-)

Thanks a lot, I would REALLY appreciate some help on this, as MS dont seem
to want to know about it. Thanks!!

Have you tried to remove and re-install the latest version from the
www.microsoft.com/sidewinder website? That may fix your troubles. Let me
know if it doesn't.

Thanks for your tip, but yes I have tried that. Uninstalled the previous
version, hunted through the registry to see if there was still somethig
lurking there (there wasnt). So unfortunately that doesnt work, but
thanks.
