I'm sorry if this is off topic, but I wasn't sure what other newsgroup
to ask in.

Having just recently reinstalled SCGT, I am reminded of how much I
really enjoy Sports Car racing. Unfortunately, I live in an are where
NASCAR rules. I was hoping that some of you Sports Car fans would be
able and willing to provide some links to Real Life web sites. I have
found the site for the American Le Mans Series and the Grand American
Series, but I haven't found the FIA GT site. (I must admit I haven't had
much time to look for this one.) Also, I would really appreciate some
explanations or links to explanations on the different classes.

Thanks,

Kent.

Amazingly....if you type FIA GT into any search engine it gives you the
sites you require.

This was top of the list in 2 of the searches i did for you.

http://www.gtracing.net/gtracing2/index.html

Quite why you havent had much time to look when it took me 5 seconds, sorry
15 seconds coz i searched three for you.....you really are short of 15
seconds....then of course another 2 seconds to put it in your Faves list for
later when you have more time......and another few seconds to return to
desktop after using the search engines.

Yes i agree with you.....no time these days.

>Quite why you havent had much time to look when

Quite why you have to be a***head when you're helping someone is
beyond me.

In fact no Jason....i have a more in depth answer...

The person involved took the time to find this newsgroup, make his request
etc etc

That was alot longer than it took me to find that information.

I presume he can type in his wants into a search engine,so it isnt just that
i can do it better or faster than him,its just damn easy.

So i see no problem in helping him,as i usually try to,but chucking in the
sarcasm to possibly save him time in the future, because as he stated,he is
short of time.

Another care in the community announcement. :-p

Thank you.

As to the rest of your response, yes, it doesn't take much time to do a
search. If you have a good idea what you are looking for. I don't recall
asking anyone to do a search for me. I am quite capable of doing that
myself. I was only asking for some sites that people *knew* of.
Following your suggestion, I also did a Google search using FIA GT. Not
knowing what sites are good or not I would then spend the next several
hours looking at the 62,500 results. I'm not sure even you would do that.

Since I'm not that familiar with this type of racing I was hoping
someone would be kind enough to point me to a few good sites to get me
started. I'm more than willing to search for others on my own.

I agree

www.gtracing.net is the official Website of FIA Grand Touring Championship.
If you want to have a look at the beginning of FIA GT in the mid-90s, when
GT1 was the top-class, log on to http://www.p9.com/ .

Bye
Stephan

You should also seriously consider subscribing to this newssite:

www.dailysportscar.com - it is not expensive compared to all the info you
get - and they cover pretty much anything sportscar these days...
