N3: Elkhart Lake?

by DJSpeed » Wed, 05 Mar 2003 06:23:48

In doing a vast search through Google (even on RAS), I could find nothing on
this track.  I have searched through all of my bookmarks looking for an ICR2
conversion for this track.  I was able to find one for the other ICR2 road
courses except for this one.  I could have SWORN there was an N3 version
floating around out there somewhere.

I've even gone back and looked at all the files I've ever downloaded for N3
with no luck.

Anyone still have this puppy?

If you go to The Pits Archives and download the converter, you can crank on ICR2 tracks all day long (if you still have ICR2).

Cheers!

Ok Jan, call me stupid (or blind), but I was all over the archives and could
not find the converter (ICR2-N3) that you speak of.  And yes, I do still
have ICR2 :-)

I was able to get a NL version, but the track and grass look very crappy as
compared with the other track conversions.  Guess I'll live with this one
for now.

"DJSpeedy

NL used a different pallette than N3 so unless you know somebody who can
convert track graphics, having  messed up colors is almost a given when
using a NL track.

They did, but it wasn't 100% on all tracks.  If I remember from the
70Trans Am patch/mod, we got some tracks looking ok, but never did get all
of them.
There was one group that did some of the tracks themselves but I don't
remember the name...I think it's the guys who did Daytona for GPL.(or
somepart of that...like the skies...)

they did but it only worked on a small number of tracks.  I was kinda
disapointed with the response the pits 70 Trans Am mod/patch got.
Probably needing NL was a big reason.  And the odd pallette didn't help.
