The N2 Project Patch is Updated!

by Robert Knaube » Fri, 12 Dec 1997 04:00:00

The main patch is now availible only for the BGN Track Pack add-on to
Nascar 2.  It includes the new Atlanta Motor Speedway and Florida
International Speedway(with complete graphical updates) made by Gary
Champagne and Bill Anderson, new body style made by Gillis Benoit, and
new Tire smoke.  Unfortunately we are unable to get the top speeds that
the real Nascar boys do at the new Atlanta due to a game engine
limitation.  We are currently working to get around it.

Here's a complete list of what's updated:

Cars
-----
New Sleeker Bodystyles

Misc
-----
1997 Calendar

Sound
-------
Tire screech fix

Special Effects
---------------
New tire smoke

Tracks
-------
Added 2 track's to include records, event.pcx's, biglogo.pcx's,
tracklogo.pcx's, trackshot.pcx's, and
correct name.  There are many grapahical updates to make them look
almost like thier real life
counterparts.  We are working hard to try and get the same speeds as
real life at Atlanta, but a Papyrus
tire traction limit is getting in the way.

Better AI for Dover, C***te, Texas, New Atlanta, Pocono, Taladega,
and Florida.

Updated Event.pcx's and Biglogo.pcx's

Updated Track.txt's for full fields, and correct lap amounts

Updated record.txt's

The N2 Project Patch is Updated!

I couldn't get it to work. When Win95 went to open the application to my nascar
directory it gave a message about "sound" and aborted itself. I tried to
download to a temporary folder and just move the tracks and calendar into N2
but received "couldn't fully load track description" when I tried to race at
either track.

I don't have low self-esteem, I have low esteem for other people.
