Hmm... well where to start I would imagine there will be mixed reviews
continuing on till November, just everybody keep in mind it is *JUST*
the demo obviously it's not done yet :-) lets not expect miracles
right off the bat!
1. I ran it on my P-100 w/32 megs EDO and a 2 meg 64bit Video Card.
All in all.... Can't complain about it.... I'm happy as in NASCAR 1
running without Asphalt and grass Textures. It ran with them on ok for
the most part, I just can live without it :)
2. I was dissappointed a bit primarily in the Garage/Setup area. I was
really hoping for more adjustment capability for the car, but the new
setup SCREEN (not irittating pull downs) is really nice.
3. Sounds - I missed not having the engine sound sound to play with
Either mine don't work or they didn't make this part of the demo.
4. Pit - Hmm Random pit stalls??? we'll see in November I guess :-)
Also, my pit crew didn't show up for practice today.
5. Spotter - EXCELLENT! a little buggy yet but real nice. Kinda
sounds like Benny Parsons to me..
6.Graphics - Cars NICE but the interiors are dark, ya can't see the
other drivers roll cages etc. very well. The AI cars that are there
along (with driver pictures) are cool. And the Cars apprearance
in body shape is alot better than NASCAR.
7.TRACK - Both Atlanta and
Watkins Glen (especially) Much better visuals.
I was bummed to notice right away that (at least the demo) had no
Skid marks on the track and smoke.dirt where missing I assume this
is only in the demo. I can't wait to see what they did with
Talladega's "dogleg" :-)
Hmm.... "Daytona" & "Indy" appear in the Calendar file.......
(I'm not going to speculate but hopeful for the future.)
8. Replay - Wow! Much nicer....
I'm gonna leave it at that, Lord knows we'll be reading enuff pretty
soon.
HEY PAPYRUS! - Thanks for the Sneak peek :) Good Work! Keep it up....
Ignore us opinionated knuckleheads and keep at it.....
