I have a Pent.120mhz, 16ram ,Audio Spectrum 16 sound card,Trident 46Pci
video card with 1mb of memory, game card,and win95

I've tried: low resolution...a boot disk....low graphics.....with sound
and without sound.....and low frame rates.

Still I can only make about 5 or 6 laps before the game crashes!

I have Nascar and it works perfect..........what am I doing wrong!!!!

QUESTION: when it crashes, does the LAP time continue to work?
do other cars continue to run? (ie is it just your car that stops
running/responding to your commands?)

this is an important point in terms of pinpointing the source of the crash.

You may want to disable EMM386 if you're running it. Rick Genter has
posted that as being a potential problem (I run it, but no crashes).

Hmmm... sounds like something to do with memory is crashing you, since
that is what is slowly filling up (with replay info) while you do
laps. Rick Genter has said something to the effect of "use no memory
managers", so no emm386, and just to be sure, make sure smartdrv is
out too.
