Can anyone help?

I have visited countless GPL web sites in my quest to find out how to change
the base colours of cars (eg green on the lotus and brabham, blue on the
eagle) but have had no luck....

Is it possible to change these colours? If it is, could some provide me with
a simple guide on how to do it.....

Many thanks,
Pete

yeah, me, too. Sorry, Pete, but I asked this question a week or so ago
and nobody answered. I think its probably a matter of changing the
colour number in the car's 3do file but don't ask me how to do that.

Use minwip and extract the cars dat file you want. Then edit the image file
(cant remember exactly which one it is) using your favourite image editor
(photoshop, paint shop pro) i use the paintbucket on the main colour and it
changes to the one you want. Remember to save in exactly the same format and
size as the original.

I'm not paranoid.  That's just a rumour started by people out to get me.

No, Pat, we're talking about the base colour of the cars. When you paint
the Lotus pink you've still got green suspension part. And the engine
block of the Murasama stays white even if you paint the rest of the car
black.

Pat, that doesn't change the "undercoat" colour...only the Texture
colour.  Turn off Textures and you'll still be faced with the base
colour.
