I wondered whether anyone knew when the new patch was likely to appear for
Nascar Heat. I understand that it has been penned in for the end of this
month, but we're almost there and things are very quiet.

  I was at the Heat site last week, the general impression I got was they
are still working, and due to some personel shuffling, Ed Martin leaving the
company and joining EA, they expect the patch will probably slip a week or
two into Febuary.  Most likely N4 will beat the Heat(:>) patch out the door.
  But that won't help you since N4 isn't being sold in Jolly Old England.

Wow, I didn't know Ed left Hasbro...???  When was that?

  I heard about it last week.  I think you have to figure he's gonna be
involved in the next EA Nascar title.  The soonest we would see anything
would be Nascar 2002, since EA pulled off the Flight Sim crew that was just
beginning to develop EA next title.
