usually after this much time has passed after the release of a new sim,
everyone is back on GPL.   Just haven't been seeing many GPL posts lately.  Oh
well, picked up my copy of Nascar 2003 today and hopefully will be annoying
those of you in RASCAR shortly.

I've been too busy playing GPL and Rally Trophy to really post much
lately.

Thats the thing about GPL.   It still holds it's own as a top notch racing
sim even after all this time.
So the question is.... what is it about GPL that it still so popular?

IMHO the cars and the tracks.  Also the low sys req's by current
standards, the great online play, the huge mod community, but at least
for me it all boils down to racing great cars on great tracks.

Sheer irony that it's selling point now is the -low- requirements...I
remember when it came out, a quite formidable rig (say, PII450 with a
Voodoo2) would have trouble running it in terribly good quality..
