Win 2000 and GPL, RC2000, etc. Any probs?

I'm thinking of upgrading my system to Win 2000 as I'll need to
reinstall Windows shortly. Question is, Win 98SE or Win 2000?

I've heard of some problems with Win 2k with games, but its stability
is in a different world compared to 98. Also, it's apparently faster
as well. So I'd LOVE the stability, but I MUST have GPL and RC2k
operational, otherwise I'll stay with Win 98SE.

So, who has no dramas with Win 2k, or any experiences at all?

System is:

Abit BE6-II mobo
128MB RAM
16MB Creative Banshee
SBLive
etc., etc.

Well, couldn't get into the***pit in GPL using the OpenGL patch on my GeForce.
RC2000 won't install.  However, I have RC2000 installed on my other PC so that I just
copy that RC2000 folder to my Win2k system.  It works. <G>  Most likely, Force
Feedback may or may not work at all.  I couldn't get my MSFF Wheel to work in RC2000
but it works in SCGT.

I have GPL working in W2K, PII-400, 128Mb and V2 (Glide).
The wheel works with 3 axis (separate throttle/brakes), but no options
to set, but it feels quite ok in the default state with GPL.
The RC2000 demo didn't install either. I have W95R2 as well so I might
try to install it in Win95 and see if it runs thereafter in W2K.

Haven't got D3D working anymore though after getting Glide/OpenGL
(Quake3) to work :(
So no F12000 for me currently.

Hmmmm, sounds like some more time is required for drivers, etc. for
Win 2000. I read on a message board that Creative are anticipating
around 6 months of problems before they will have bug free drivers. I
guess I'll have to stick with that ***y Win 98 crap. Maybe in 6
months....
