GPL, Momo and separeted axis?

by Arto Wik » Tue, 24 Aug 2004 19:56:32

Dear sim racers,

I bought the new Logitech Momo Force Wheel (black),
and I have difficulties in setting the throttle and
brake to separate axis. I have unchecked the "use
combined axis" box, but when I go to the GPL controls
assignment view, and when I show throttle and brake
to GPL, it writes something like "0>" and "O<", and
clearly I cannot brake and throttle simultaneously.
What is odd, in F1CS I manage to use separate axis!

Any ideas? GPL without separate axis is not fun...

Arto

BTW The setting program of Logitech is not very
    clear and intuitive...

"> Dear sim racers,

Thats strange, I have a momo and it works fine in gpl. Does it behave the
same way with the tick box checked and not?
Try them both if that doesnt help make sure you have the latest momo
drivers from
http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/downloads/software/CN/EN,CRID=1788,...
rather than the ones shipped with the wheel

imo Logitech software is better than most, but I'm used to it ;-)

Install the Wingman profiler if you haven't already, it's pretty useful
for programming buttons & the like. I just made one profile & apply it
to all titles.

You don't need the profiler to get split axis though, go to the Game
controllers, click properties for the Momo, settings, and you'll see a
tick box for combined axis. Untick that to get separate pedal axis.

you might try deleting your control file,( don't remember the exact name
off the top of my head)in you player folder, and reassign your controls
in gpl.

GPL, Momo and separeted axis?

I asked:

Well, my fault, I guess: After changing the settings
in Logitech profiler any way, I also had to use the
"calibrate" of the GPL before assigning the controls.
Now the axis are separate and driving is fun - with
my new PC:s constant 36 fsp and all graphics on. :-)

Thanks to all for the advice!
