GP3 Wishes - last chance to have your say!

by Ralph Bir » Thu, 30 Sep 1999 04:00:00

Hi!
I am currently running a GP3 wishlist at http://www.racesimcentral.net/ my new GP3
web site.
It will gather all suggestions into what should and shouldn't be in GP3.
I need your suggestions into what we think GP3 should have - you could
change the outcome of GP3 itself! On 10th October, I will send all the
"wishes"
on the wishlist to Hasbro - for them to consider. We have very few "wishes"
so far, they have been mostly for wet weather driving, carset editor,
marshals running up to check the driver is ok after a crash, marshals
extinguishing the car in flames, specific driver styles (eg
Shumacher=aggressive, Villeneuve not good in wet, Coulthard finding
difficulty in overtaking, etc.)

We need YOUR suggestions, so visit http://www.racesimcentral.net/ and make your
wishes. What we don't want is what happened with GP2 - Geoff Crammond left
out huge chunks of stuff off GP2 - there was meant to be a pit radio - we
can see this if you go to the "wav" section of GP2edit, and import wavs from
sound34.wav onwards are all pit calls, such as "oil on
track", "in,in, in", "fuel, fuel, fuel." GP2 was also meant to have wet races,
but Geoff had to s***this also because he was pressed for time.
I'm positive that we can influence the outcome of the game. We together
could be the reason why there will be internet multiplayer, we could be the
reason for specific driver behavoiurs. I really want GP3 to be the best
driving simulation for a long time, and I hope your views are the same as
mine. Without these wishes vital parts may well be missed out that we will
regret later on. Your wishes could be the same as the ones below -
increasing the chance of that feature being in the game, or it could be
something no one has thought of yet.

So for the good of the game, please contribute to what you want to have in
GP3, whether it be a Career mode perhaps, or even driver injury?!!!

Here is a list of the wishes so far:

blablablabla.........

You call this huge list "very few"????  Let's be realistic: when Geoff
receives a wishlist like this one, he'll don't know where to start or
where to end. You can't please everyone. He'll simply throw it away
and do as he always does: make something that impresses HIMSELF.
That's perfectly fine with me.

What if he's easily impressed Jo?

I never said it was a huge list. But the more people who submit their
wishes, the more chance we can get what WE want. Fine, if you don't want
things like internet mutliplayer, then fine, but many of us do, and many
other features we have to ask for.
I hope you agree with me.

We don't have THAT many *facts*, but that he's not easily impressed is one of
them. His track record proves it, and I trust God Geoff 100%  ;-)
