weirdo replay sound in GPL ...

Does anyone else have really weird sound in replay, GPL 1.1.0.3 (Eng)?
It is like the engine is silent when you are a particular distance away,
then next frame the engine starts roaring again. It is like the engine
volume is controller digitally or sumthing...
Anyone got any fixes or 'owt?

Sorry if this question has been asked b4... I am a bit of a newbie to
this...

Yes, you're right. I've noticed that in GPL1.0 also. I think, it's done on
purpose, so that sounds, that have too low volume to be heard in a race
aren't played at all to save CPU time.
