Of course! I take examples from the NROS and even GPL online. When I see
ahead a pileup and you know that you have no chance of passing it alive,
normally Im so physically and mentally concentrated into my racing that it
will hurt myself. You will flex the muscles, sometimes close your eyes.
The brain will associate your actions that way, since psychologically your
actually racing, the only difference are the physical forces you endorse in
a racecar. The brain will probably flow adrenaline into your ***, or
release some enzymes so that you sweat, heart beat goes faster, dry throat
etc.. I mean you are racing for real, just in a virtual environment!. So
all the emotions are done the same way.
It just hurts less :)
The mental concentration will make you subliminally try to look above your
virtual arms to look at what gear your in, make your head pan left and right
depending on the cornering, etc..
I know that my cat Chewbacca (real name ;-D ) never sleeps near my PC
anymore when I race, because of those actions we subliminally do. The
sensation of loosing, frustration, joy, etc.. it all applies in the same
way you know :)
