You need a drivers2.txt file in the car directory. The drivers.txt file
is just sorta a backup and a commented version of the drivers2.txt. I
think that if you don't have the drivers2.txt the program will look for
a drivers.txt file before it fails.

Actually, I believe that the program looks first for the drivers2.txt file
and if that is not found then the drivers.txt file is used.

Only the Drivers2.txt is required. The drivers.txt is a backup file
should you amend the other. You can safely delete the drivers.txt
file in downloaded or new carsets but I would advise keeping it in the
original carset directory. BTW you MUST keep the original carset
directory CARS94 and files otherwise the game will not run.
