because their steering was too sensitive. Here are some suggestions
from Tantrum on how you might set your steering up in the options
to get better control.
I also strongly suggest you use a good joystick instead of
a wheel as this made a huge difference on my system. But I
understand those with ECCI's can adjust things and they seem to work
fine!

Check your steering set up in "option." I put the sensativity all the
way to the right of the slider. This ensures that any move I make with
the controller will make a correction. I the put the scaling bar to
where the node of the bar is at about 25%. This would have the node just
off of the "e" in the word scale. This should keep away oversteering.
However, this also restricts the lock to lock turning radius. So if you
get sideways on the burnout, lift and drive the car into a a striaght
position to begin backing up. At the beginning of the burnout, give the
steering a jab to the right. This will counter acts the centrifugal
force that happens when these cars lite up. If you stop sideways,
getting back in the groove for launch is tough.
Also note that steering is smoother on faster machines. You may be
struggling because of a slower config. I am a better driver on a 300mhz
at the studio vs. my lowly 200mhz that I have at home.
Hope this helps.
