"gameplay"

Well with these two items it sounds pretty realistic to me.  All we need is
Salzaar in a tirade and its perfect.

Keep in mind there will be no PC version of this title.  N64 only.

The screen shots of this game look VERY much like the 3 year old ABC Sports
Indy Racing game, including the sprint car feeder series!

I wonder if they upgraded the drivers names and car paint jobs, then ported
that old game over to the N64 and put it back on the shelf for sale?!?!?!?

As for the review, frankly I was disappointed in the Writer. Andy Mahood
writes the flying/driving column for PC gamer and also does reviews for
CNET's "Gamecenter.com" He usually does a good job of giving an honest
review of each game, but he spent as much time making derogotory comments
about the Indy Racing Northern Light Series as he did describing this
Nintendo Console/Arcade game!

I don't doubt that this game might stink, but taking cheep shots at a racing
series that he obviously doesn't like turned me off, in fact I wonder if his
editor knows he was using a game review to publish his own personal opinions
of an auto racing series???  Granted the IRL may not draw crowds like NASCAR
or F1, but... The racing they put on has been great! Loads of fun to watch
the open-wheelers go 2 and even 3 wide at just about every event they put
on!

It's the best kept secret in Motorsports if ya ask me!

Anyway, back to the review, like I said it sure as heck looks like they
ported that old ABC Sports game over to this console offering to make a  few
bucks! Thankfully we won't have to put up with this crud on the PC!

Well-said, Jay -- Mahood just attained "hack" status in my book.  Any
respect I had for the man just went in the toilet.  I don't care if he
does acknowledge the inherent goodness in GPL -- the kind of tripe he
threw around in that review was totally uncalled for.  He's a racer
himself, so you think he would have some modicum of respect for the
guys in the IRL for what they do.  Obviously he doesn't, though, and,
and apparently he doesn't mind risking his own credibility to spout off
about it.

Then again, maybe he wrote the IRL review immediately after he did
his "drinking and simming" article for PC Gamer.  Still, there's no
excuse for B.S. of that calibur.  Mahood would do good to take lessons
from Randy Magruder.

On the subjedt of the IRL, I didn't get to see the Atlanta race today --
busy with a hot *** job and a short deadline, but I heard the
outcome (no spoilers from me!), and I have the race on tape for later
viewing.

You know, I always though that something like this would be very neat
to have in a game.  I'd like to see a game where you can work your way
up various racing series and/or within a series.  For instance, in a
F1 game you can change teams between seasons based on how well you are
doing.  Of course, this would be very hard, if not impossible to do
for a licensed game.

The other problem, if you have multiple series, you'll have to have
different gameplay and physics for each series.  Considering the
amount people *** and moan about game physics here for one game
(unless it's GPL of course), they are bound to have a field day on a
game with multiple cars.

So anyway, are there any games out there with something of a career
mode? So far I can think of:

Dirt Track Racing
SCGT
24 Hours of Lemans

ymenard, I hope the "smiley" at the end of your post is an indication that
your only kidding about your comment? I've seen too many well written, well
thought out posts on this forum to lump you in with "that sort of crowd".
