does anybody have a decent setup for tally that can crank out 194-195s
in the draft and still go the full 188 laps?

Are you using a wheel or a joystick?? I can get 194s with a joystick on my
setup, when running in the draft. Setups differ greatly between wheel and
joystick, especially in handling. I have found that if I use someone elses
setup for a T2(or other wheel) I have to soften the suspension slightly to
get it to handle properly. If you are using a joystick, let me know and I
will let you try my setup.

194-195!!! Geez I'm dissappointed if I can't get that by myself! You
gotta be smooth. If you're not 196's in the draft with the "ace" setup
then another setup ain't going to help. BTW I'm the slowest of our
group of friends who race N2
..
The problem isn't getting up to 194-195. The problem is staying that fast
and lasting 188 laps. I keep loosing engines arounf 120-140 laps.

But the AI cars won't draft WITH me(they can't stay with me)...so I, for one
can't turn those laps. Or are you guys talking about multiplayer?

Try bumping up the AI% a little. Set it so that you and the AI cars run
together. Then you can use them a little while drafting. Watch out for
the turns though, I still think they slow to much when entering a turn.
At least I take them faster than the AI does.

I've recently completed a 100% race at Taladega and have drafted at 196.802
as fastest so far, also have the replay...

This is one of the problems with the AI at Talladega. They slow down
going into the turns and thus go too slow through the turn and coming
out. It's too easy to slip under them in the turns and since they don't
have enough speed, they can't draft with the human driver. They also
slow down too much down the front straight & dog leg. Their backstretch
speed seems to be about right. Another probelm I've noticed at
Talladega and other tracks is that they AI cars will slow down to pass a
car "merging" back onto the track after pitting. For some reason the AI
that are racing aren't aware that the car that just pitted is going to
stay beneath the line in the turn.

I pulled off a 198.448 lap in the draft with #6, #88, #5 with driver
strength set at 107. (I also was able to win the race due to the #88 car
deciding to not pit under yellow).
Wow! That is a great speed! I've only run Tally twice with the setup I
got from Joe Farr. In my 2 attempts with it, I got 194.403. No draft.
