I have been playing ICR2 for the past week, and am really enjoying it.  I
have found a few things that have upset me though, has anyone else have
this happen?

The first is a race at Vancouver, I was doing a 100% race, and was in
third after 72 laps, and just as I was slowing to pit for the final time,
I had a gearbox problem!  After racing for about 1 hour, I got a little
upset.  Is this because I have breakdowns on?  or is this something that
is essentially random?  Either way, I didn't like it!

The second is with the pace car.  When the yellow goes up, shouldn't the
pace car get out in front of the leader?  When you are in second place
when the yellow goes up, just 5 seconds behind the leader, it is a little
disheartening to see the pace car pull out in front of me!  Should this
be happening?

The final thing I want to say, is that the computer drivers are somewhat
true to real life, even if it makes them morons.  I forget what race it
was this year, but Scot Pruett was about to get lapped by the leaders in
the last few laps of a race, when he caused an accident with one of the
leaders.  Well, in another of my races in Vancouver, he did something
similar.  With about 20 laps left, I was in second, just behind Bobby
Rahal, who was following Scott Pruett, who was a lap back.  Going into
the first hairpin, I coasted by the two, and broke hard into the corner,
passing both cars.  As I slowed to go into the chycane, guess who drives
right into the back of me, taking me out of the race?

Other than these few things, I have loved this game!  Though not much has
changed from the first version, I don't feel that this was wasted money.

yes, you turn breakdowns off and you wont have that problem.....i kinda
like it on, because it adds that true to life random element that anything
can go wrong....
however....i wonder if your gearbox blows, is it because you were shifiting
wrong?....(i wonder if papyrus made the breakdowns due to driver error, or
random chance)

Remedy: Turn off random breakdowns. The AI cars will still get
problems with their equipment, but you will not.

Nope, it's yet another bug. I have got a hunch that Papyrus isn't
listening to their beta testers. They should!
