PSX NASCAR - No Caution Flags? Help!

by B. Keith Barbo » Sat, 09 Nov 1996 04:00:00

I posted over the weekend that I wasn't getting any caution flags in
Nascar for the Playstation.  Nearly a week later and trying nearly
everything I know how to, it isn't any better.  I have set my
opponent's strength to 120% and turned around and rammed them
going 150 miles per hour in the wrong direction and still no caution
flags.  I have wrecked every car on the track(all 20 of them) and
still no caution flags.  I have my pace lap turned on, my caution
flags turned on, and damage set to full with the opponent's strength
set to 97%, but I don't believe opponent's strength really plays a big
part here.  I have read posts from people who say they are getting
caution flags, but I have no idea how they are doing it.  One side
note...if you damage a wheel, the caution comes out, but that's the
only time I have seen one.  Would someone who has the game and is
getting caution flags when they should come out, please e-mail me and
tell me what I am doing or not doing.  This is a great game, but
without cautions, it's more like an arcade racer and I already have
enough of those.  I would greatly appreciate any help or info.

Thanks,

Keith

I don't know what's going on, but in a race last night I was trying to lap
a backmarker and moved up into him a bit too much.  I was fine but he went
spinning into the wall...next thing you know yellow flag and "Pits
Closed".  Granted, my front right fender was dinged up so I took damage
too...but it wasn't anything I couldn't race with.
