Why cant Papyrus make a modern F1 sim????
GP2 is one of the biggest selling games in history.
F1 comes to america in September.

Its worldwide audience makes nascars domestic audience look small.

FIA give licenses to anybody.

ive played pre-alpha gp3 at a computer trade show (last september-there is
no pirate copy floating around), but id love to see where papy would take
modern F1.

Who says they can't ?  And who says they want ?  It's not necessary, or an
obligation.  Especially, who says Sierra wants to do one ;)

Hmm  the whole Nascar series by Papyrys clearly outcast Gp2's sale, and
Nascar Racing 1 alone IIRC had sales around the total that GP2 achieved.
Add this the 8 other Nascar titles by Papyrus and you can really see why
they continue to milk money out of it and don't create anything else.
Except 1 gem.

But those are not necessary the people who
1) Have a PC
2) Actually like playing games
3) Like playing racing games
4) Like playing serious racing simulations

Be sure that the average F1 fan can't fit in that list.  Since Nascar is
mostly an American fan-based series, the market for the list above is much
higher.

Everybody would love ;-D

Maybe they will.. maybe they won't.  I think in the community we wouldn't
care about any title.  Just give us the darn NEW GAME ENGINE and we'll be
happy.  Anything.  Heck even Ski-Doo racing.  Or Boat Rallies.  Anything...

with restrictions: rumors are the FIA does not allow internet
multiplayer - that's said to be why this feature is missing in GP3.

Why that? They could ask for extra license fees, but completely
outruling it is nonsense.

Well, then the internet racing then should be included anyway:
with some fastasy cars on generic tracks, like Ubisoft did in
MGP/F1RS2.

Uh? Why? We europeans don't like playing serious racing simulations?
