NASCAB PRO DIGITAL WHEEL

by TRUSRS » Thu, 13 Apr 2000 04:00:00

I just bought the NASCAB PRO DIGITAL WHEEL at CompUSA for $30  !!!
I currently own a NASCAB PRO wheel, and it is starting to lose calibration. I
really had my eyes set upon a FF wheel, but I am a poor college boy. And when I
saw the NASCAB PRO DIGITAL WHEEL  for $30 at CompUSA I had to grab it.
So how is this wheel compared to the older version?
Will it work with ICR2 and GP2?
I assume it will have no problems with the Win 98 games such as GPL, N3, NL,
RC2k, F12k, DTR, Carma2, Midtown Madness, Viper Racing, NFS5 Porsche.

I noticed the digital version has USB, F1 shifters, 2 extra buttons. Has
anything else changed?
I also noticed that www.thrustmaster.com has updated drivers for the digital
wheel.

Well thanx for the help guys.

Since it's USB, you'll have to be able to run them in a DOS Window - NOT
a DOS prompt.  _Should_ work.

ok here an update. I just installed the wheel. I installed the drivers that
came off od the CD. I then downloaded and installed the updated drivers from
their webpage.

I noticed that my FPS in all my sims droppeed considerably. Such as GPL, N3,
and NL.   The FPS went from 36/30  down to 10-15

Anybody know how I can fix this?
I am also having trouble getting the wheel to calibrate in ICR2.
I run the dos version through windows.
Please help me
thanx a lot.
