Manual Shifting in Nascar Revolution and brief review...

Look at your setup for that track.  When you adjust gear ratios, there
is a box which specifies Automatic or Manual.

I was not impressed at first with this game, but after several
sessions, I have enjoyed the AI in it.  If you are DIE HARD N1 N2 then
don't bother.  It does have a more arcade feel to it.  This is only
because we are used to N1 and N2.  After you've accepted the fact that
this is a new physics model, it actually becomes pretty fun.  I do,
however, have a few cons to report.

1) The sound?!  Where did they come up with this idea.  I'd rather
hear a regular recorded engine thatn this crap.  If anyone know where
to get better sound for this let me know.

2) Crashes aren't realistc.  And no, I'm not a crash fiend but the
crashes are rediculous in this game.

3)  When I click on retire to leave from a session, I expect to be
placed back to the menu IMMEDIATELY.  I don't need Bob Jenkins telling
me that my driver is done for the day and a fly by of the car.

4)  When I first put 43 cars on the track, performance nearly came to
a halt.  Now I only have a PII 233 with 64 MB of Ram, but this is
crazy.  Another point for Papyrus people to argue.

These were my major hangups.  Aside from these, I really had a good
time racing.
