I picked up a copy of SCGT and I'm having some problems using my wheel and
pedals. I'm using a Thustmaster Sprint and I have had the accelerator on the
pedal and tried to use the paddle on the left for brakes. Other racing sims
allow this with no problem. But for some reason I can't get it to work in
SCGT. What am I doing wrong?

David,

I had the same problem.  The brake is hard to use when you just want to "tap" it
a couple of times.  I installed the TM s/w.  When I boot up, the first thing I
do is go into the Thrustmaster "alignment" program where you turn the wheel both
directions, then the buttons, paddles, pedals, the hit the accept.

Once in the SCGT program, I pull up the "Options"  tab at the bottom, and go
throught the setup for the buttons/pedals.  It comes up first with the keyboard
input, hit escape, and the wheel input comes up.  At that point, depending on
which setting your on, pull the paddle, or push the pedal, or turn the wheel,
etc.  I had to try this combo several times (I would get wierd settings show
up).  At one point, I reset to defaults, and all the settings I wanted were
there.??????

For me it is much easier to use the left paddle for the brake.  Tapping it into
a turn works great.

Hope this helps

Wow, Mike.  Looks like you had a seizure, right when you went to click
the "send" button.  What awful timing...  ;-)

Seriously, though -- it does take more than a couple minutes for your
post to propagate and show up on news servers.

"Team Jesus Racing" -- I like it.  :)

It's the geocities mail thing.  You have to wait a period of time before
it will accept "mail addressed messages"  I  was sending to both the
group and the individual.  Geo. didn't explain that newsgroup stuff was
not impacted by the anti spam wait....

The "timing" could have been good in the right turns tapping the brakes
on some of the courses.

Team Jesus Racing is just starting out:  Currently one real life dirt
track car, and hope to figure out how to design several types of cars
for the various sims, offline series, etc..

Thanks
Mike
