N2/3dfx Why so blurry?

Everything is so blurry!  Is there something I can do about this?  It's
terrible.  If I had to choose between this (lack of) clarity and the
improved fps, I'll take the clarity of the old N2...

It's not your gamma.  There were reported problems with lack of texture
ram on 3Dfx, so I guess they've just filtered lo-res textures to
oblivion.

BTW the framrate sux big time compared to my V1000 3D Blaster (Using
Righteous).  If anyone knows how to fix this, let me know.

Try ajusting your gamma correction

Also keep in mind bilinear filtering does exactly that, Makes everything
blurry.
