Hey Kirk!
Way to go! You've won your first GPL race. Ready for a new challenge? Head back
to Monza, novice race, dial up nine*** AI cars, and skip practice. That's
right, skip practice. You'll start the race in twentieth place. Now, go out and
win! This is no joke, Kirk. I've had the most fun doing this. Usually I finish
in the top five ( that is, if I don't crash!), but on occasion I win, and almost
always take the fastest lap. Once, I assumed the lead just before the S/F line
at the end of the second lap, then threw it all away at the Parabolica the next
time around. I'm driving the Lotus on default set-up, albeit with a lighter fuel
load, and turn laps about the same as you. Sometimes I get lucky and do mid or
high 29's, with the absolute best being 1:29.18. In order to win, you'll have to
throw caution to the wind, and take every chance. It's similar to doing hot laps
or qualifying laps, except with traffic! Try it out and let me know how you do.
A final word of caution: take special care if the Honda is starting directly in
front of you!
Regards,
Johnny Lugnuts
