It's my pleasure, guys.

Jason, just out of curiosity, did you get the private mail I sent you?

Wow, just gave 'em a test drive and the GPL-converted setups are very
nice.

Quick line question - what are you using as a brake reference for
parabolica?  It could just be that I haven't play n2002 in awhile, but
if I try to brake at the sign/groove I end up blowing the turn badly.

Oof yes, haven't had a chance to reply yet.  Good stuff. =)

Just before Parabolica, there's a little road that enters from the right (I
don't know what that was in reality), and I use that as a reference. I brake
a few yards (maybe one car length?) before that road ends.

Are you referring to Curva Grande?

For Parabolica, there's just fence on both sides, and some signs on
the fence to the left and a bit of dark groove as reference points.  I
did some more practice and with a tad of trailbraking I can nail it
fine by starting at the first groove point, so I guess I'm alright.

One thing I find odd, after doing some more laps on the GPL tracks, is
how tail-happy a stock car can be under braking.  Most of the time
everything's ok, but just a tad too much brake, not even necessarily
locking a wheel, and suddenly the rearend wants to come around.

Erm, yes <g>

At Parabolica I start braking a tad before where the brakemarkers start.

As for the rear end, you might try increasing the rear weight, or setting
the brake balance more to the front.
