The install program for NFS will not find my sound card. Does anyone
know a way to
fix this problem. Perhaps manually set it in the startup line or edit a
startup file.

What kind of computer do you have?
I wrote the question for him. He has a TriGem computer, WIN95
and an ESSAudiodrive soundcard. There are no DOS drivers for the card.
Windows sets it up and since NFS is DOS I can not get it to find the card.
EAs support page showed how to do it if you have a config. line to add to
your autoexec.bat but I don't have a way to add that line (No DOS drivers
for the card), Let me know :)

I have had the same problem with other dos games using the ESS card. I
have yet to find a solution. There are drivers out there for dos, but they
still don't work right. I finally spent a few bucks and got an SB16.
