24 year old Greg Moore of Canada was killed today at Fontana, Calif.
during the last race of the FedEx Championship season. Losing control
at the exit of turn 1, he skidded into the infield and as he headed for
the concrete wall protecting the infield his tires caught the edge of
an emergency vehicle access road and his car was pitched up off its
wheels. He hit the wall at the worst possible angle. Damn..

Greg was young, smart, well-spoken, and fast. Sorry to see you go, Greg.

Yes, a sad day indeed.  Whether it should be regarded as the acceptable
side of motor racing or not, it doesn't make it any easier to bear.  My
thoughts go out to his family.
