No it wasn't: the lack of paragraphs was disgraceful, making the entire
treatise a chore to wade through.
No pass-mark from this examiner, I'm afraid.

I applaud you for your effort Mitch, but it is not going to happen.  Already
there are rules that exclude some members of RAS. It's almost impossible to find
a time that is convenient for everyone and the issue of yellows alone will
divide most.  No single league is going to make the members of RAS happy.  If
it's done right you will get enough people interested and have a good league.
But you are deluding yourself if you think one league will make all of RAS
happy, people want different things in a league.

So go create what you think will be a fun league, a place to go race on Saturday
with people you know.  Let RAS know about it and I'm sure there will be enough
here that will enjoy it.  As Spark said, some will like it and stay, others will
adapt or move on. But don't be upset if it doesn't fit everyone here as that is
never going to happen and is the real flaw in the RASCAR concept.

I consider RASCAR more like a "test ground" for discussions on r.a.s.   Some
people consider it that way, doing constructive criticism and so of
pseudo-racing situations.

Yeah, sometimes it turns ugly.  So?

If there's a race, green flag, checkered flag, and friends all about who
gives a rats patootie about the rest.

Let's go racing!

Apparently some do, or there wouldn't be 100's of posts bickering about it. ;-)

But agree with the sentiment, just wish the organizers would stop thinking they
are catering to all of RAS when they do it and need all of RAS to agree with
every decision.

That's the end of my contribution to the bandwidth on this subject. Time to
switch the RASCAR filter back on.

Good luck.

Yet another vision of what it is. Certainly it is a breeding ground for
discussions. ;-)

Constructive discussion of racing events is fine, I actually quite enjoyed the
race reviews/reports before things got out of hand.  But it is a bit arrogant to
think that a single league is going to represent and fill the needs of all of
RAS.  I'm sure RAS could support multiple leagues catering to different group's
needs in here. If John wants to create a league and invite RAS, great. If Mitch
wants something different and creates another, fine.  At the very least there
could be one for people who want yellows and one for no yellows.

If there was a poll right now I wonder what percentage of RAS would never like
to see "RASCAR" mentioned in here again.  How about it Mitch, care ask RAS that
question to see if the majority even want it to be mentioned in here?  It would
be a good test to see if you are willing let us (RAS) decide what it wants.
After all, it is *OUR* league isn't it. If RAS wanted to see RASCAR out of here
(except for the occasional ad or announcement as with other leagues) and in it's
own separate forum would you do that? Just use R**CAR in the poll so all those
filtering "RASCAR" it get to see it and respond.

Yes, I enjoyed Jan's reports a lot. I wish he'd post them here, as they are
enlightening, well written, and simply informative.

Ok, I'll give in. If the madness in here ends (and it's showing signs of
doing so), I will.

Don't worry, Jan.

I have a plan for spicing up conversation in here when it finally flags. See
email ;-)
