Man, I am so sick of every other post being RASCAR.
Can you guys not get your own news group?

Well, RASCAR is tied to this NG.  It's the reason why it exists.

You can easily filter out this situation in your Outlook Express (that's the
news reader you use) by filtering the word "RASCAR".  Pretty much 99% of the
RASCAR-related posts have it either in the thread or the message itself.

That's easy thinking here.  Cmon.

Thanks for the tip, don't get me wrong I love racing as much as anyone, but
it just seems like every other post starts out with RASCAR.

1) Ummmm..."RASCAR" is the racing league for this newsgroup.  Either join'em or beat'em.

2) There is a feature in your mail reader that kills anything you you add as a rule...such as..."RASCAR".  Use it wisely.

3)  This announcement was brought to you by a non-RASCAR affiliated spokesman.

Thanks for your time...

Cheers!

Standard response, when there's nothing to say in defense.

Myself, I don't mind the RASCAR stuff.  I just don't read them.  At least
the headers are consistent, and if you want you can block those messages.

But all this nonsense bickering and the profanity is almost too much.
Everyone likes a good fight, but enough is enough.

In the end, if you don't want to see the RASCAR posts, just block them.
It's that simple.

They actually have their own forum at racesimcentral. But I understand that
some matters are discussed here. Let's hope they keep all their personal
messages about who has not updated their car file an such in the forum. I'm
quite sure Usenet was not meant for messages like that but for messages of
public interest.
On the other hand this NG has some slack which I think is a good thing. You
can post off topic and get good help, not just all the "wrong newsgroup!"
replies you get at other places, from kids who don't post unless they can
pick on someone.

I personally am finding the posts quite informative. I have been
playing FPS games online for years, but have yet to play any race
games online. I am new to playing sims and am learning how to play
NR2003 offline so I don't make a nuisance of myself when I do start
online, and through reading the RASCAR posts I learn about what is the
proper etiquette, and what I will want to look for when looking for a
league to race in.

If I didn't want to read it, I would just ignore the offending
threads. Usenet is rapidly going downhill with all the Outhouse
Express users who expect everything to fit in with the restrictions in
their software.

Just don't open the header.
It's really very simple.....my cat can even follow the instructions.
(And it doesn't read English, either.)

Nope, they can find their own smart-arse cat, just like we did.
(Although, on reflection, I think *he* found *us*!)

Ok i to think this rascar shit is out of hand. Yes this news group may be because of ras***but please your ***ing like a bunch of old ladies.
Allow me to simplify this for you. Have a secure site designed (passworded) could even charge for membership to support the cause
then set up tcp/ip servers. A few for each mod if need be. then each different server can set shit up they way they want, as far as
driving aids, *** whatever and clearly post that by the severs info on the site.
then any member can pick and choose according to skill level, mod, ping and what ever other variations are available
In this vast world a few can not control the many so offer more options. seems simple enough to me.

Myself and 73 others do this now we have several servers going and we can pick the race we want to go into by the info provided by that server on the site
so I know this course of action does and will continue to work.

Just an idea that will be coming to the web soon

The Nascar Racing 2003 TCP\IP Portal

We have anywhere from 3 to 23 different ip's and their info (rules/mods) posted at any given time.
Trans-Am, Patched Papy and BGN

So all you RAS***racers stay tuned for the NEW, THE RIGHT, THE FAIR way to race.

And not Hitler type racing commandos governing any race unless you choose that type of race.

IT WORKS AND HAS FOR ALMOST A YEAR NOW.

so as rascar kills itself keep in mind that at this very moment
The Nascar Racing 2003 TCP\IP Portal has 4 races running right now and no one is fighting or crying or whinning like girlies
over rules and whos in control. Don't like what ya see start and add your own server and play by your rules.

RULES ARE GOOD ,***-TATORS ARE NOT!

Again a simple solution to very ugly mees ya'll have here.

REMEBER WHEN RACING WAS FUN?
