RASCAR Monza Lap Times?

Strange stuff going on between offline and online times. Shouldn't be
surprised I guess, but the difference is REALLY big with this track.

Offline I can do a 1:25 after just a dozen or so laps of practice and a good
setup, and I've put about 0 laps in on this track in either GPL or any Papy
NASCAR game in the last few years. Fairly easy. Online on John's server with
the same setup I'm at least 3 seconds off. Right about 1:29. Car is just a
lot slower.

What's going on?

I have a special program running that makes everyone three seconds
slower than normal so I can keep up with them. :)

I suck so bad at road courses that I'd never notice the difference :)
