I've got a LWFF and I chose MOMO in the pre-game menu, since I figured it
was the closest to my wheel.  However, in the game, the FF felt very vague
(Yes, I changed it to +100)  So I deleted my player profile and created a
new one manually without using one of the presets and now the FF is truly
excellent - no annoying vibrations etc.

Also, I was getting massive pedal deadzones using the MOMO preset - now it's
fine.  YMMV.

MOMO preset has very low sensitivity settings for the pedals and a large
amount of "Speed sensitivity", i.e. reduction in steering senstivity at
higher speeds.

I reverted to a back-up copy of my .PLR file and exported it with the
included util. Very straightforward.

A man after my own heart. I have to drive the Marcos just because it
sounds so freakin good, but when it's time to race, bring out the Mopar
:-)

I knew you couldn't be all bad, Dave! ;) I got to see the restored
Chaparrals at Road America last year.   Works of art, even the 2J.  Get
"Chevrolet = Racing?" for the GM perspective of the Chaparral program.

Yea and verily. I would actually pay serious money for a good sim of
early Can-Am. . . . Yes, that was the sound of me, wiping drool from my
lips.

Paul VanValkenburgh's version (noted above) is very good but may I also
<blatent plug!> suggest Frank Winchell's section in the history chapter in
"Race Car Vehicle Dynamics".  Chevy R & D was deeply involved behind the
scenes of the Chaparral story, and Winchell was the boss of R & D, and
later a VP of General Motors.

Amazon doesn't stock books from SAE (like ours), and last time I looked
Amazon even charged an additional $10!  Order direct from www.sae.org
(direct link from our site) for best delivery and price, they have
many racing books (including "Chevrolet = Racing?")
