Hi Chris...unless you really REALLY feel you need all that stuff running
in the background,
try this.
A) get a program called enditall. It will shutdown most of the uneeded
programs. Don't worry they will restart next time you boot.
B) clik start/run/ type msconfig. choose the start button tab.
UNCHECK any item you
don't want running. This is a permant(usually) fix and won't take effect
until you reboot.
But your desktop will load faster because all those little hidden programs
aren't tying up
your hard drive and cpu as they load.
While you may have lots of programs running, all you need to play most
games/sims/programs are : systray and windows explorer .
Now lets deal with your frustration. You ran a good race...You had FUN.
You didn't
get to finish it....so you are frustrated....perhaps looking with, to quote
Gallagher, a new
set of eyes, you'll feel differently.
You ran a good race, you had FUN, you didn't get to finish...that means
YOU GET TO HAVE FUN AGAIN! Time wasted? Never. Did you get the result you
wished? That never happens all the time except in fairy tales and ***os.
But if you enjoyed it once...why not again? Hey you may not win,,,you may
not be Numero Uno..but you'll probably realize, its the racing itself that
is exciting...Racing doesn't care if you are first or four***th...Racing
only cares about that next car up ahead or that guy pressuring(sp?) you from
behind. Racing results were probably only invented to satisfy the
newspapers...
