CART Racing Trouble

Hello,
After being enthralled with GPL I decided to pickup
Sierra/Papyrus' CART racing from the bargain bin.
Problem is that is slow and the 'windy' executable
crashes consistently after a few minutes.

        I'm running an AMD-K6-233 with a Hercules Thriller 3D,
SB Live, and Thrustmaster Nascar Pro Wheel.

I've checked out the advice on Alison Hine's website
about using the DOS version and with patches, but
my CD only came with Win95 installation options
without DOS executables that I see.

        Any help would be appreciated.

If you bought Sierra CART racing (instead of the old Indycar II), the
DOS version should be on the CD.  Look in

d:\dos\cart

All the files are there, including install.exe

If you are lucky, you "may" also have the rendition 3d version.
Look in the dos folder for rendition and only install that.  You will
find that the Thriller looks and runs very well, you will also find that
CART 3d doesn't like the 2nd Gen Rendition chip in your Thriller Board.
there is info at Alison's site and bjorn3d.com (if thats still up) that
will get the 3d version working.
Good luck, throw the windy away..:)
